Optical Components for Quantum Entanglement

An optical-based quantum information processing system utilizes entangled photons to transmit, encode, and process enormous amount of data. Such entangle photons can be generated by spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) in second-order nonlinear optical crystals. Newlight Photonics Inc. has developed a series of optical components for generation, measurement, and manipulation of entangled photons.

New !  The standard optical parts for 405nm pumped SPDC

BBO Crystals, BiBO Crystals for non-collinearly
phasematched degenerated SPDC

Paired BBO Crystals, BiBO Crystals, mounted back-to-back with one crystal rotated by 90 degree about axis normal to incident face.

BBO Crystals, BiBO Crystals for highly efficient frequency doubling to blue for SPDC pump

Broadband Mirrors for pump or signal/idler beam steering

Calcite, YVO4,
or a-BBO Beam Displacers with a maximum beam separation > 4mm

Polarizing Beamsplitter Cubes for 90 deg deviation of polarized beams

Rochon Polarizers for a large beam separation (~ 15 degree)

Glan-Thompson Beam Splitter for a very large beam separation (~ 45 degree)

Glan Polarizers for pump polarization and signal analysis

Quarter (QWP) and Half (HWP) Waveplates for polarization control

Quartz, α-BBO, Calcite time delay compensator

Quartz, α-BBO, Calcite birefringent plates for retardation adjustment
