Oven for Crystal cut at the Brewster Angle
Newlight Photonics Inc.
supplies ovens with precision temperature controllers to heat Brewster-cut crystals
for frequency conversions. Brewster-cut uncoated crystals are often used
when damage of anti-reflective coatings becomes a problem. A
conventional oven does not work with a
Brewster-cut crystal as the oven blocks the beam(s).

* These ovens are assembled from
discrete mechanical and electric parts, to be used in
research laboratories only. The surfaces of the heating element
and the oven may be very hot (up to 200 degC.) A protection
box (with holes for light beams ) must be built around the oven
to avoid scalding accidents.
