KBBF (Potassium Fluoroboratoberyllate, KBe2BO3F2)

KBBF is a new nonlinear optical crystal which allows generation of depp-UV light.  The fourth-harmonic generation of Ti:sapphire laser systems from 200 nm to 179.4-nm was first achieved in KBBF. It is also the only crystal in which direct SHG of the third harmonic of Nd:YAG laser is possible ( i.e. sixth harmonic of Nd:YAG at 177nm).

Hot Applications:

WB01158_1.GIF (255 bytes) 1 mm KBBF crystal doubles 50 fs 400 nm pulses to 200 nm with an efficiency >13%.
WB01158_1.GIF (255 bytes) 2.3mm KBBF generates 360mW at 200nm
